How to check, whether your emails have been compromised or not?
Well, here you go…
There is a website called Have I Been Pwned? which will let you know whether your email has been the victim of data breach or not.
As per website developer ‘Troy Hunt‘, when you search for an email ID, the website implicitly collects the data via Google Analytics, Application Insight & monitors performance of data.
If the outcome is SAFE, then you have nothing to worry about.
Even if the outcome is UNSAFE, still you have nothing to worry about. You have to just scroll to bottom, the website gives you all the details like, on which websites your Email ID have compromised.
But Manish, what should we do if our Email ID has been compromised?
- Change your password
- Enable 2-factor authentication and
- Never use same passwords for all the sites.
